![]() Not Castello…? What else would have the nerve? The juice? Not madra dorcha… No nosebleed or splitting headache. Hunted. That was what she was feeling, she was being hunted! But she heard no howls. Slowly she knelt and picked up the rabbit that was to be dinner tonight when for a half second the sensation of being hunted suddenly came slammed into her awareness. She felt ‘this’ distortion in her connection to the earth, a strand in the tapestry that was out of place and of a different material. The fox didn’t disregard the feeling, but rather attempted to isolate the oddity that was nipping at the back of her neck. It was a tickle to her senses, like a tiny vibration in the fine hairs on the inside of her ears that whispered that danger was suddenly in her shadow.Ī feeling of unease settled in the pit of her stomach, but not just from the red flags suddenly springing up around her. Three steps in and something in the forest changed, a resounding hush emptied the immediate area of sound, as if the fox were the only creature for miles. Lowering her bow, the fox stepped out from behind a tree and advanced on her kill. Taking chunks out of the trees as she did. Rek'Sai bellowed an ear piercing roar while lifting one of her clawed legs to swipe in the fox’s direction. Allowing her to get an idea as to where the other was. The sound served as a form of echo-location. Soft clicking noises echoed off the trees and sent shivers through every living thing that might not have had the sense to run by now. Though she did not have eyes Rek'Sai turned her head toward her prey. Though her sense of smell was not as acute as her tremor sense she could still tell that the two-legged had fled her hiding place. Shaking off dabree and dirt as she stood up and turned away from the fallen tree. It took a moment for her to regain her footing. The forest floor rumbled as the tree met it, along with the creature that was responsible for uprooting it. Unbeknownst to her, a wide grin had stretched across her face even as she dodged the thrashing beast and admired its raw power. Hesitation at all, if her decision had not been final and set, would have stole from her the glorious battle before it began. Slipping passed them had only been made possible by her decision to jump the moment she saw the attack. Up close and personal now, gave her an intimate view of the unique jaw that was full of arm length fangs that were coming straight for her branch. When the earth finally exploded the fox shouted out in reflex as she leaped from the branch and missed the attack of a black and amethyst claw that could have rendered her in twine with little effort. A deep breath and she licked her lips a lash of her tails and she growled in anticipation and impatience. Her right foot scrabbled back, unsuited for the bark, but confident in its placement, Azuka watched the ground. Azuka could only assume it was taking out its roots and was next bringing down her last means of stable safety. The white fox prepared for the other boot to drop when a three second lull interrupted the attack on the tree, and had opened her power lock accordingly. All of them burning with bright purple and black flames. Azuka bared her fangs as four white tails now lashed out behind her. ![]() Large white ears hooked forward as the watched the soil churn below the surface, heaving the soil in an obvious distortion that circled the tree and rocked it at its core with each pass. ![]() Eyes glowing bright azure she lifted her left hand to grasp the hilt of her sword with just the tips of her fingers. The fox dug the claws of her right hand deep into the bark of the tree as mutated legs and feet followed suit with thick black talons scoring deep for purchase. ![]()
